Slates
PARAMO
|
Slate has been exploited in
several Spanish regions since old times. It was traditionally a craft whose
limited production was destined for local use and, very exceptionally, for very
important buildings outside these areas.
It was in the 1990s that PIZARRAS
PARAMO really started its industrial expansion, encouraged by the strong
demand from outside and the possibilities offered by the existing deposits. This
is when our exploitation was formed and consolidated. Commercial routes were
established and it only took a few years to achieve constantly growing
production and sales figures.
The use of slate as a building
material for roofs ever since the old days has enabled the trade to evolve to
the current fitting techniques, which allow slate to be used on any surface with
an unbeatable finish, which is difficult to achieve with other products which
attempt to fulfil the same function.
Not only does slate bring great
beauty, but its cost and value for money make it highly competitive, and its
duration and almost negligible maintenance costs are additional advantages. |
